What Time Is It Around the World?

The world is divided into time zones, so the local time depends on where you are. When it is noon in New York, it is 9 in the morning in Los Angeles and 5 in the afternoon in London. Pick a city to see its live time on a flip clock, together with its time zone, sunrise and sunset, and how many hours it is ahead of or behind you.

The clock shows your own time first, checked against our server so it is exact to a fraction of a second. Tap a city under it to see that city's time on the flip clock, and pin it to make the World Clock open on it. Press + to add a city, the pencil to remove one, and the clock button to plan a time: move the slider and every city shows the time then, which makes it easy to find a good time for a call. Your cities are saved in this browser, and in fullscreen the clock and your cities fill the screen.

Many countries also move their clocks forward in spring and back in autumn for daylight saving time, which changes the time difference between places for a few weeks or months of the year. The world clock follows these changes automatically.
